Here is the agenda for the week.
7th GRADE
Tuesday: We will focus on getting to know each other.
1. Introductions
2. Pick Spanish names and make nametags
3. Hip Hop with names
4. 2 truths and a lie
For Wednesday, please fill out the student information sheet.
Wednesday: We will get to know the textbook, Realidades.
1. Hip Hop
2. Rules/Procedures for class.
3. Preview Guide of book.
4. Hand out workbooks (make sure you don't lose these!)
5. Review Preview Guide
- HW: Get procedure sheet signed.
Thursday: We will start chapter PE with greetings.
Target: Know which greetings to use at a particular time of day.
1. Review Book guide.
2. Start pg. 2 in book with greetings-listen and practice.
3. Write the words on the vocab list and practice.
4. Pg. 3 Act 1-Listening: What time of day for the greeting?
5. Pg. 3 Act 3-write a short conversation with your partner and share for class.
HW: Study for 10 minutes-you will have a quiz on TUESDAY on greetings.
Friday: We will continue with greetings and emotions.
Targets: Decide when to use tú or Ud.
Recognize emotion vocabulary. (happy, sad, etc.)
1. 2 minute review with partners
2. Stand up/sit down practice
3. Add vocabulary for emotions and goodbyes to vocab list
4. Read emotion page in book (pg. 4) + listen to presentation express
5. Do emotion actions
6. Reading tú v. Ud (pg. 5)
7. Complete pg. 2 in class

8th grade:
1/9 Tuesday: We will get started reviewing 7th grade Spanish.

- Personality traits
- Questions/Answers
- Class schedules
- Conjugating verbs (-AR)
- Subject pronouns
HW: make sure your parent sheet is signed!
3/9 Thursday: We will start with Chapter 3A: Food and Drinks!
Target: Recognize breakfast and drink words.
1. Greet 3 people (to learn names)
2. Review question and answer sheet from Wed.
3. Talk about favorite food and hours of eating (Cultural note-hours of meals)
4. P. 123 objectives
5. Pg. 124 listen to pronunciation, repeat
6. Add vocab to list
HW: create flashcards
4/9 Friday: We will continue learning food and drink vocabulary.
Target: Recognize breakfast, lunch, and drink vocabulary
1. Review flashcards with a partner
2. Play matamoscas with words
3. Pg. 125-lunch words + frequency
4. Add words to vocab list
5. Use big pictures to ask ¿Qué te gusta más:?
6. Listening pg. 125 #1-Eat or drink?
7. Pg. 129 Beber-columns using frequency.
